How to enroll

Any student is eligible to apply for OH Institute.

How OH Institute works

OH Institute will be open from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Please refer to the school calendar for travel dates, holidays and the "OH Term schedule." 

The central meeting place is located in TBD and families will receive weekly updates for experiential site locations and plans along with transportation requirements.

There is no "typical day" at OH Institute!

Each school day affords students opportunities to receive targeted direct instruction in necessary skill areas with content and strategy specialists, dedicated time for independent and collaborative work, exploratory and extended themed-lessons, industry expert visits, and offsite learning projects.  A general school day framework has been established to ensure all students have a conducive and productive work environment. However, on a daily basis, students needs, interests, and choices will dictate what a "typical day" might look like.  We will never say, "It is 9 a.m. and time for Algebra!"

Lunch

Families will be responsible for providing lunch. Students will need to bring their lunch or can order from local restaurants, but should be mindful that a 30 minute break has been allotted.  Often a trip, speaker or specific group lesson may be scheduled for the second half of the afternoon. 

Extracurricular Activities

All OH students interested in sports can contact local schools for tryout information as our students can participate in a public school team sport at our area schools.

Numerous virtual clubs are in place and ready for our students to join at any time and OH students will be encourage to participate in internships, volunteer and service projects, apprenticeships, and community clubs/groups.
