Plans are underway for our fall trip to take place after Halloween. Our first choice is to take the students to a chain of islands off of the Caribbean coast of the country of Panama, just near the Costa Rican border. Students would fly in to Panama City to visit the Panama Canal and would then fly out to Bocas del Toro on Isla Colon to truly experience Panama. Flight costs and availability are determinants as to whether this will be the fall or spring trip. Details will be discussed with families during the enrollment meetings to be held in the first week of August! Do you all have passports??

Amy and her husband live part-time in this island chain and possess extensive knowledge of the travel logistics and local area. This trip will offer students the opportunity to develop compare and contrast studies against the panhandle region on issues such as habitat preservation, deforestation and development/growth effects.
